Obituary of Frank McGraw

Francis "Frank" Patrick McGraw, 90, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Eden Hill Nursing Home in New Braunfels, TX Frank was born on August 2, 1932 in Morgantown, WV the son of the late James and Mary (Knouse) McGraw. He graduated from St Francis High School in 1950. Following a year at West Virginia University he enlisted in the US Navy in 1952. Trained as an aviation electrician, he flew with Patrol Squadron Seventeen during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956, having earned multiple service awards, and returned to Morgantown. Following his marriage to Ethel Joanne Fekete in 1958, he moved to Syracuse NY in 1962 where he became a successful small business owner of a garage door company and a lifelong member of Saint Rose Roman Catholic Church. Frank enjoyed fishing and traveling in Canada. He was an avid sports fan who followed Syracuse University football and basketball and the St Louis Cardinals. Most of all, he enjoyed visiting his family. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Ethel McGraw; son, Dan McGraw and his wife D'Ann and daughters Meridith, Madeline and Margaret; son, Patrick and his wife Tracy and daughters Alyssa, Kayla and son Mitchell. Also, he is survived by his brothers James and Peter and sister Mary. In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his sister Catherine Danish. Friends and family will be received at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3346 University Ave, Morgantown, WV 26505, on Monday, June 26, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 27, from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati as celebrant.
