Obituary of Samuel Oliverio

Please share a memory of Samuel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Samuel M. Oliverio, 64, of Morgantown WV, formerly of Washington, PA passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 due to a long battle with lung-related complications. Born March 17, 1959, in Washington PA, the son of the late Sam and Mary Lou Oliverio. Sam is survived by brothers Scott (Kathy) Oliverio of Washington PA and Steve (Lee) Oliverio of Wilson NC. Also survived by his former spouse Tawnya Drake and three children whom he adored and would give the world for; Max, Jonah, and June. Additional surviving nieces and nephews include Angela Hunter, Nick Oliverio and Davy Oliverio. There are far too many Oliverio/Tiderman great-nieces, nephews and cousins to list here; but he will be greatly missed by all. Sammy had a kind heart and soul with a smile to match. He was smart, thoughtful, and a great listener. He loved music, golf, cooking, and treasured lifelong friendships like those with Rick Angott, Brian Baumgardner, and Joey Reda. No services are to be held, but we would imagine Sammy's wishes would be for all to be kind to one another and hug the ones you love. Sam wished for his ashes to be spread in the Atlantic. His former wife and children will be carrying out his wishes in one of his most loved places, South Carolina. Sam was a devoted husband even after the divorce. All he ever wanted was happiness for the ones he loved. Sam was the most amazing father. His legacy will be carried on through the love, guidance, and morals he instilled in his children.
