Obituary of Timothy Carl Tennant

Timothy "Tim" Carl Tennant, 69, of Morgantown, passed away at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born August 24, 1953, in Morgantown, son of the late William Alva and Rose Marie (Yocum) Tennant. Years past, Tim worked at Oates Telo Dine in Star City and Deal and Sullivan Garage. He then worked as a coal miner for 10 years at Consol Energy at both Osage and Pursglove 15 and then went on to work for seven years at CTL Engineering. His last place of employment was at the City of Morgantown which he worked as an Assistant Engineer. He transferred and became Street Superintendent for the City of Morgantown until his unfortunate resignation due to his health issues in 2001. His hobbies include bowling, playing pool, fishing and hunting. Left to cherish his memories include his loving wife, Jeannine (Cravener) Tennant; children: Timothy C. Tennant, Jr. (Mimi), William Joseph Tennant, Sr. (Kim), Nicholas J.A. Anthony (Amy) and Clifford Alva Tennant (Kara); grandchildren: Angie, Paige, Ikie and Billy Tennant, and Marley, Nicholas and Sydney Anthony, Ivy Tennant and Dakota Bell; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews: Sheri, Noah, Missy, Wyatt, Ty, Charles and Crystal; several great nieces and nephews; and siblings, Carlene Sue Liddle (Jerry), Eva M. Tennant, Helen M. Bolen (Paul) and William A. Tennant (Pete). Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
