I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I attended WVWC with Jeff. He was a great friend to many there. And I was doing a search for several friends from that time decades ago. And saw this obituary. Your family will be in my thoughts.
Uncle Don was a very caring person. He always had a smile on his face. My family was always glad to see him. It was a Christmas long ago when I was a small child . Us kids were not getting much for Christmas because my dad had been in an accident and could not work. I remember Uncle Don coming to visit us with a box . The box was given to my Mom so she hid it under the bed. ( Of course I peeked) The box had a gift for all of us in it. This is one thing he did for me that I will never forget. I love you Uncle Don and thanks for the presents. Linda
Don’s contagious laugh will greatly missed. He was a wonderful supporter of the two of us from early on and throughout our marriage. His stories, his hugs and his sage advice will forever be held in high esteem with us.
Rest easy Uncle Don. Your work here is done.

I worked with Don for years at Health Sciences, and I was always impressed with his wealth of knowledge and ability to solve problems. I want to pass along my deepest condolences. He'll be greatly missed.
I can always remember to going to see Uncle Don and Aunt Shirley when they lived in sabraton when they were in town at I think it was her parents house it was usually at Christmas or Easter my dad and my mom would take us all over there and it always give us candy and homemade function we always had a good time there and a picnic he will sadly be missed
I was pleased to work with Don at WVU HSC for many years.I was blessed to see him after that in Point Marion and at Evergreen. At Evergreen he was always by the door to greet me when I visited my Mom (until she passed in 9/22). I was fortunate to attend Shirley’s funeral, meet his children and see him in that wonderful uniform he loved so much.
