I had Bill as my economics professor in a number of economics classes. He told of a story of eating candy corn as a child and how sick he got from eating them; so one day during Halloween I bought him a bag of candy corn. He was not amused. Great person who shaped not only where I sat on the economic scale, but as a person. He loved to talk about the trail and all you had to do is mention it and the lecture was over for that day and you were hearing stories of the trail. He will be missed.. Class of 93

I worked with Bill at Fairmont State for ten years when he and I taught in the same department and shared office space in the same, converted classroom. Bill often talked about his love for hiking and outdoor activities and was liked by all. I know he will be missed. God Bless all friends and families.

I met Bill several decades ago when he was the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the West Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club and I was a Committee member.
Bill was very capable, knowledgable, friendly, fun and a good leader. His commitment to the environment and West Virginia were always evident.
