My uncle Lonnie was a very special person to our family, and we will remember him for his unconditional love, devotion to family and God, his work ethic, his many acts of kindness, and humility. He was fun and easy to be with, always interested in how you were. Lonnie was a good man.
Growing up Lonnie lived next door and was a big part of my life and I thought of him as my second Dad. He was always there with a smile and ready to help if needed.
My dad and Lonnie took us ice skating and our families went on many picnic together, and we were always visiting in each others homes.
Lonnie had a workshop and like to make models of houses and he made beautiful and unique birdhouses.
He worked in his yard and drove his car until he was 97.
Our hearts are truly broken and we will miss Lonnie, he was very much loved and respected by all who knew him.
