Helen attended Guam United Methodist Church along with her husband Ben Addie. They were very active members of the church serving in various capacities as lay servant, Sunday School teacher and liturgist. Helen served as member of the Board off Trustees, Staff Parish Relations Committee, Nurture Committee and other key positions where she always thrive and served with dedication and compassion in helping others in the church family. She was very inclusive in relating to other and very appreciative of others. Helen also loved preaching, leading worship as liturgist and participating in our dramatic readings and presentations during Lenten and Christmas seasons. Their stay in Guam is truly remarkable and is a testament of their love of others Guam being a very diverse island community where each person you meet can be considered family. As her pastor for 9 years Helen had been a good friend that I can rely on along with Ben. My wife and kids were so much by this wonderful couple. With Helen’s soft spoken voice one can never ask for more for such manifestation of true presence with genuine love and support. We love you Helen.

Mrs. Addie,
Thank you for your kindness, patience, and most importantly the knowledge you’ve passed on to me and thousands of your students. You were one of my greatest mentors I’ve had in High school. I’ve always looked forward to your class and assured that I have you again as my teacher duding my senior year. You will be truly missed by all.
May you rest in peace.
To Addie family, I’m sending my condolences to all of you. Mrs. Addie was amazing person that made an impact to so many lives.

I remember taking Mrs. Addie’s Physics Honors class with my friends at Okkodo High School, year 2019-2020. It was a memorable class for us because we always knew that Physics is a hard subject, but Ms. Addie taught it in such a way that made us appreciate the course more. I will always remember her gentle guidance. Thank you truly, Mrs. Addie. Deepest condolences to her family.

Mrs.Addie was one of the most kindest and thoughtful teachers I have ever met. Dear Mrs. Addie, thank you for being my guiding light for science in high school and opening your classroom for my friends and I to eat lunch. I graduated with my BS in Biology at the University of Guam, and I am now pursing my PhD in Ecology. Your gentle heart and soulful eyes will forever be remembered. -Kyle Dahilig (OHS, C/O 2019)
