Obituary of Sandra Rochelle Blosser

Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandra Rochelle Blosser, 82, of Morgantown, WV, went to be with her late husband Herbert Denzil Blosser on Monday, February 12th, 2024. She was surrounded by friends and family throughout her time in the hospital and passed with her children and grandchildren nearby. Sandra was born on January 30, 1942, the daughter of the late Mary Anna Staggs. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) and her hobbies centered around her friends and family. She loved canning, spending much of her last days canning with her sons. She also loved to cook for her family. She never let anyone leave her home hungry, telling them “If you leave hungry it’s your own fault.” She enjoyed visiting the Senior Center and talking on the phone with her aunt Wilma Goodwin, cousin Bonnie, and so many wonderful friends and extended family whom she loved dearly. You could always find her at the Grafton Rd. Walmart near the Subway talking to everyone she saw. She loved going out to eat with friends and family, playing Bingo, and bowling. She loved sharing memories of her time with the ladies from the bowling league. Sandra took care of her entire family, loving her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all she had. She was everything a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother is thought to be. Sandra is survived by her three sons, Darryl Blosser, Allen Blosser and Mark Blosser (Lisa Reed), all of Morgantown; grandchildren, Anna Butcher (Brian Butcher), Darryl Blosser Jr. (Danielle Blosser), Bradley Blosser (Tera Tomago-Blosser), Charles Blosser (Haley), LaDawna Johnson (Wesley Johnson), Steven Blosser (Stephanie Groves), Nicole Blosser, Keith Blosser, and Angel Hoskins. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, loving every minute she spent with them reading and playing on her iPad. In addition to her mother, Sandra was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Herbert Denzil Blosser, and a cousin, Janis Goodwin. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, February 16, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 17, from noon until the time of the service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Andy Fominko officiating. Following the funeral service, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at the West Virginia National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Senior Monongalians at PO Box 653 Morgantown, WV 26507. Send condolences online at hastingsfuneralhome.com.
