Gurubhyo Namah! Prafulla and I owe our well being to Barbara and Arthur Pavlovic.
Dr. Pavlovic guided us in life with love, wit and exemplary intellect. We are lucky to have crossed their path.
I can only imagine how much Barbara is missing her best friend. His teachings started with Calvin Coolidge quote on persistence "Calvin Coolidge - Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence." I can write volumes on Dr. Pavlovic. This humble student will miss him dearly. May you be proud of the lives you have shaped and get some rest, Sir!
Prafulla and I cherish, respect and love -- you and Barbara --. You and your life is a life worth living. Rest in peace, Professor Pavlovic.

Dr. Pavlovic was my PhD thesis advisor back in the late '60s. He was instrumental in making this period in my life a memorable one. I appreciated his council and enjoyed his friendship. He will be missed.

Arthur was stationed outside his room at Stonerise, in his wheelchair and greeted me as I was walking by. We chatted. The next time I saw him, he insisted that I meet his wife, Barbara. She told me a story of the time she fell under the bushes, and was knocked unconscious. She told it with such amusement, I could not help but laugh with her. One day Arthur and Barbara were sitting together in the common room, two people so in love and tightly entwined that even the incapacity Arthur was undergoing could not erase the love. Barbara and Arthur, still making friends inside a nursing home.

So sorry about Artie's passing and my heartfelt condolences to Barbara and the Pavlovic family. Artie will always be remembered as a very kind, fun and wonderful guy. I met Artie and Barbara when I first came to Morgantown from my native Italy and they embraced me like family. I will never forget all their gestures of friendship and generosity. I feel honored to have met such wonderful human beings. Love to all the family in this difficult time.

I barely knew Dr. Pavlovic. One of the greatest blessings of my life was getting to know and love Ray and Edna Epler, who were as fine as anyone who ever walked the earth, and Ray and Edna always said that Art and Barb were that kind of people. So humanity is a little poorer today for the loss of Art, but so much richer for the kindness he left behind.

Meeting the Pavlovic family through Paula in Grenoble, France in 1975, I experienced a way of being that, in part, inspired me to become an academic, if it was going to be that much fun! Since then, like many others, Art, Barb and Paula have kept me in their no doubt large circle of friends, an honour, which I cherish all these years later. Art made a positive impression on me and for that I am eternally grateful. Seeing how a family could live and learn overseas as the Pavlovics did opened my mind to the possibility of becoming a global citizen.
