Obituary of Mary Susan Johnson

Mary "Susan" Johnson passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at her daughter's home in Roanoke, VA.
She was born February 14, 1945, the daughter of the late Willard Morrison and Mary Francis Voldeck of Clarksburg WV.
Susan was a graduate of Washington Irving High School where she was a featured twirler (majorette). She went on to graduate from Morgantown Beauty School. She enjoyed shopping, baking, cooking, and making crafts, including wreaths. Susan worked in the banking industry for over 40 years, developing lifelong friendships with her banking families.
Susan is survived by her children, Cherie Johnson-Barry (Patrick P Barry) of Morgantown, WV, Jerri R Morfa (Jorge Felix Morfa) of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Devon J Johnson (Emily Burch) of Parkersburg, WV, McKenzie (Mac) McGill (Alyssa McGill) of Durham, NC, Anissa Rosa Morfa of Roanoke, VA; great grandchildren, Carter K. Johnson, Ali Surbrook, Greyson Burch, and baby Baylee "Frankie" Johnson, arriving April 2024; brother, Paul Morrison (Sue DeVeer) of Fairfield, PA, and brother-in-law, Clyde Johnson (Charlotte) of Morgantown, WV.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Jerry W. Johnson, who passed away in August of 2022; brother, James (Jim) Morrison of British Columbia; grandson, Rufus (Sonny) Arthur McGill II of Morgantown; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Saturday, April 13th from 6PM to 8PM. Following the visitation, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
