To our dear friend. Nancy with whom never missed returning a call to us when leaving a voicemail “where’s happy hour tonight” as we drove into Morgantown from PA. But this time there was no call back. We are deeply saddened that we didn’t get to begin our summer with you. We love you and will miss you terribly. Your friends Deb and KennyG

To Nancy’s family,
We were privileged to begin a long friendship with Nancy when we purchased property in Hickory Ridge in 1984. She was such an eloquent, kind, and beautiful (inside and out), representative of the unique neighborhood she and you helped to create and maintain through the years. In addition, she designed the plans for our home which we still enjoy to this day. We were fortunate to have known her and experience her spirit. The world is definitely a better place because of her. God bless.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann and Mike Spanovich

Although we lost touch over the decades, my earliest memory of Nancy was kindergarten, Mrs. Cochran’s Teddy Bear Cave. She is the only classmate I remember, her kindness and personality were that memorable! I am sad for her family’s loss, peace. Loreta & Phil

I met Nancy at NIOSH in 1985 and worked with her until her retirement in 2011. Her intelligence and determination led to her quickly climbing the corporate ladder to become the Director of the Division in 1997. I remember Nancy not only for her leadership but for her kindness and spirit of adventure. Rest in peace. My condolences and prayers to the family.

I knew Nancy from our work together at NIOSH. Much of my career was under her leadership of the Division of Safety Research. She was a kind and thoughtful leader who helped guide me along my career path. May her memory always be a blessing, and may she rest in peace.
