Like Anne and Joe (and Laurie and Ed) I lived with Edwin on Robinson Street in Somerville back in the 1990s, and what fun we had. Five adults, strangers at first, living in a single household but each adding something special to the mix. Edwin was the elder statesman, the patriarch -- wise, compassionate, patient, funny, playful, thoughtful. What a lovely combination. We would sit in the kitchen and talk about politics, spiritual matters, food, art, travel, baseball and everything in between and how attentive and interested he always was. It's no wonder he chose to be a therapist; it was clearly part of his DNA. To say I will treasure his memory and miss him doesn't begin to express my feelings. He was a light and constant reminder there is good in the world and that more, possibly better, awaits us when we pass on. What gives me comfort is knowing he thoroughly enjoyed his time on planet Earth and brought happiness to so many. May he be at rest but, oh Lord, how he'll be missed......

Edwin was a kind, thoughtful and inspiring friend whom I met as a roommate in the 1990s in the Boston area. All of us who lived together in the Robinson St house became friends and have had regular reunions for years. We missed Edwin so much when he moved to Morgantown but we were thrilled to see him again whenever he visited Boston. Nothing can replace him or his friendship. We will always love you, Edwin. ❤️

Thank You, Anne. Your expression of love for Edwin is perfectly in harmony with my feelings too. As I am also one of those who was part of the Robinson St household, I can likewise affirm Ed was always a beautiful and caring person towards us, both then and thereafter. He and I shared a love of contra dancing and also a long term interest in spiritual growth, discussing at length ideas about Consciousness. I have great respect for those Truth-teachers of his that embodied Love for All.

In 2009, I was on my way to the Blue Moose when Ed and I crossed paths in the parking lot behind Health Right.
We chatted for a bit, and then I asked him if I could take a photo of him with my new camera I was trying out.
I always looked forward to seeing Ed at the Blue Moose and discussing topics I would not normally think about, usually in a spiritual vein. But, of course, there was also just chit-chat about what each of us was doing, and sometimes family matters.
Ed was always congenial and easy to talk to, and I missed seeing him once he moved across town.
So long, Ed; we will miss you.
Love,
Mike and Betsy Breiding

I met Ed through my husband and friends who congregated at the Blue Moose. He was a pleasure to know, always having something kind to say and enjoying a really good laugh. He was a good man!
