Aunt Maria - I remember your Snoopy stuffed animals and how I developed a fondness for that dog because of those! I remember visiting you on the way to our Ocean City beach vacations when Tommy and I were young. I loved staying at your beautiful home and listening to stories from your travels. I am sad that we didn’t see each other very often over the past few years aside from having lunch after Sophia’s gymnastic competitions in West Virginia. I was always impressed by your love of dance and how you continued to enjoy this activity throughout your life. You are missed.

Uncle Joe, I know that Aunt Maria is at peace. She was a great God Mother, and I will be forever appreciative of how generous and kind she was to Tre and Tristan. I will continue to say a prayer for both of you.

Dear Aunt Maria, thank you for spoiling our children when they were young. We think about you frequently as we continue to enjoy the sweet, plush nativity set you gifted Tre when he was just a baby. We will continue to keep you and Uncle Joe in our thoughts. Love, Tommy & Ali ❤️ Tre & Tristan

Uncle Joe, I was so saddened to hear about Aunt Maria’s passing although I know she is at peace now and having a ball in heaven with my mom. She was the best Godmother a girl could have and I loved spending time with her and you. I will never forget all the holidays our family spent together, midnight masses, Christmas Eve’s at your house, dance recitals, and dinners out at Hamburger Hamlet and Bare Bones. I will treasure those memories forever. I pray you find some comfort in the all of the wonderful memories you two shared together also. I will continue to pray for you and am here always if you need anything. Love always, Simone

Maria was a dear neighbor of my husband and I for over 10 years. She was a delightfully kind and loving person. She and her husband Joe were a special couple to us. They were always together loving and caring for one another.
I enjoyed hearing her stories about her days as a dancer. We will miss her. I know she is watching over Joe now. After a lengthy illness she is now at peace with our Lord in heaven.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Aunt Maria. I will always remember the summer vacations in Ocean City where we met up with her at the boardwalk where she liked to stay to be near the action. I also will miss her coming over to Pittsburgh and staying for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and sometimes Easter when growing up, as it was always fun to have her around. Not to mention the time she sold me her Subaru SVX (my first car) for $1 when we met in Breezewood over Labor Day weekend in 2002 so I had a car when I started college.
All the suffering she endured during the final years of her life luckily are now over, so she can rest peacefully.
