Amanda Leigh LaNoir-Sawyer, age 37, passed away peacefully at home with her beloved husband Michael at her side on July 15th, 2024. Amanda was welcomed into this world on August 20th, 1986, by her parents David and Theresa at Glens Falls Hospital. Amanda spent her childhood filled with joy and laughter. Her infectious laugh was a source of happiness for everyone around her. She was an enthusiastic field hockey player, showing her competitive spirit and teamwork on the field. Amanda cherished time with her sisters, creating countless cherished memories. Summers were spent swimming in her Papa's pool, where she developed a love for the water and shared many delightful moments with family and friends. Amanda spent many years working at The Great Escape where she developed many life-long friendships. Amanda prided herself in being a SUNY Plattsburgh Alumni, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Human Development & Family Relations. While attending college, Amanda met her best friend Stephanie Minick. Their bond was immediate and enduring, growing stronger over the years through countless shared experiences and shenanigans. After college, Amanda made the move to South Carolina where she met the love of her life, Michael, in 2012. Together, they built a life they loved. Amanda was a dedicated ABA therapist who found immense joy and fulfillment in working with children. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to helping others shone brightly in her professional life. She built meaningful connections with her young clients, always striving to make a positive impact on their lives. Her patience, kindness, and expertise were a source of comfort and progress for many families, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those she helped. Amanda was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her paternal grandparents, John and Mary LaNoir as well as her maternal grandmother, Faylene Degnan (Jerry). Left to forever cherish her memory, holding her close in their hearts and carrying forward the love and joy she brought into their lives, are her parents David LaNoir (Carrie) and Theresa Simione; sisters Kayleigh Green (Austin), Rebecca LaNoir and Michaila LaNoir (Tim); the love of her life, Michael, and his family, Don and Dawn Sawyer, Michelle and Wayne Hullet, Megan and Joey Edmonds; Morgan Sawyer; as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends. Amanda truly loved children and was proud to be Aunt Amanda to AJ, Bryson, Dylan, Daniel, Kourtnie and Emma. Her nieces and nephews will carry on her infectious laugh, a testament to the joy and warmth she spread. Her spirit lives on in their laughter, reminding us all of the happiness she brought to those around her. A memorial service to celebrate the beautiful life of Amanda will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made in Amanda's name to the Autism Research Institute.
