I became a caregiver for Sarah when she was still relatively independent. One of my fondest memories involves a slip of scrap paper that she left on the kitchen counter. There was a single sentence written on it, in her unmistakably neat handwriting. It said, "The sun is shining and I feel good!" I take comfort in that simple thought and believe that the sun is still shining on Miss Sarah. Heather N. from Visiting Angels

Those of us who were fortunate enough to know Sarah are now experiencing a great sense of loss. We have all been touched by Sarah’s wonderful outlook on life and her gift for making others feel important. Dear Family Members of Sarah, Sarah and I met at Mon General when we both served as volunteers. She surely enriched my experiences during the time we crossed paths there. She was energetic, friendly, devoted, enthusiastic, and dependable. Above all, Sarah was admired and appreciated by her friends and the MGH patients she helped. Please accept my sincere sympathy in her passing. Sarah will be missed. Jan Yeager
