James “Jim” Harold Martisko, Jr., unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at his home in Morgantown at the age of 73. He was born on October 31, 1950, son of the late James H. Martisko, Sr., and Garnett Skinner at Vincent Pallotti Hospital in Morgantown. He worked for Consolidation Coal Company’s Humphrey #3 Mine for several years before he became injured. He was also a proud member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his brother, Nick and his sister, Vickie Martisko. Jim is survived by his sons, Chad {Lanie) and Cody Martisko; his granddaughters, Maia Martisko and Sydney Martisko; and grandson, Trenton Martisko. He also leaves behind brothers, Lester Martisko, Mike Martisko, Chuck Collins and Bill Collins (Brenda); sisters, Jeannei Martisko Smith (Frank), Roxie Martisko Salisbury (Steve), Cindy Collins Roll and Linda Collins along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was loved and will be missed. He is now singing in heaven with Elvis whose music he loved. Graveside Services will be private where he will be inurned with his father at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
