Obituary of Harvey Donald Kisner, Jr.

Harvey Donald Kisner, Jr., 74, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 in the presence of family. He was born September 5, 1950 in Morgantown, a son of the late Harvey Donald and Bessie (Casteel) Kisner. He was a gifted stone mason and artisan. He was able to fulfill his dream of opening Kisner’s Family Restaurant and enjoyed cooking for those that visited the restaurant for many years. In his free time, he loved watching the WWE, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Judy J. Kisner; children, Lisa Kisner of Maidsville, WV, Christy Kisner of Brunswick, GA, and Harvey Donald Kisner, III and his wife Holli of Baggs, WY; grandchildren, Kyndel Kisner, Elyse Kisner, Anastyn Kisner, Trisdyn Kisner, and Liam Barry; and siblings, Danny Kisner, Judy Dinda, and Linda Garletts. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Lee Kisner, Jimmy “Scott” Kisner, and Terry R. Kisner. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to WVU Medicine Hospice,12 Rousch Drive, Westover, WV 26501. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Tuesday, October 8th from 5-7 PM and again on Wednesday, October 9th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tim Wotring officiating.
