We knew Barbara and Ed at NPBC in the 1990s and later. It was a joy EVERYTIME we stopped by the church any weekday to see her behind the glass separating her office from the reception area. And there were times we would visit Ed's preaching in Little Hocking. Another joy. These two were a continuing inspiration as we all were growing in
Christ.
We prayed nearly everyday -- early -- as we knew she was traveling from Elizabeth, WV, into North Parkersburg in the rain and snow and fog.
We have precious memories of you both. God be with you, Ed, as you await your Homegoing, being forever with Jesus and reunited with Barbara. She is Home waiting for you.

There are times when God brings people into our lives and everything changes. That was certainly the case, when, as seniors in high school, our paths crossed with Miss Barbara.
She prayed for us, she encouraged us, she knew us, and she loved us as her own! We became family and have been forever changed because of her impact.
As I watched Ryan preach this morning, I couldn’t stop the tears as I realized that two decades of lifting us up, led to this moment.
This is the life she prayed for her boy, the one she affectionately called her “favorite!!”
Thank you, Ed and family, for sharing her with us!
I will forever cherish the memory of our last visit, spending time with Ed and Barb, was the best birthday gift ever!!
Thank you, Lord, for the beautiful blessing of knowing and loving this incredible lady.
“Look after my kiddos, sweet Barbara, until we meet again. Love you, more!!” ❤️

We remember Ed and Barbara from the church in Parkersburg, WV. They were a contributing part of our Sunday School class and worship services. They were a fun couple and later became the pastoral family at the church in Little Hocking, Ohio. We pray for Ed and the family.

Q: How did you meet Barbara?
A: We met Barb through her husband, our cousin Ed Beatty.
Barb was always very friendly, a great hostess and a wonderful cook. We always enjoyed her company. She made everyone feel comfortable.
We are so very sorry for your loss of Barb. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
