Obituary of Clinton Lee Adams Sr.

Clinton Lee Adams Sr. 87 of Cheat Neck, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was born in Morgantown, WV on July 7, 1937, son of the late Deane and Goldie (Bailey) Adams. He was a graduate of University High School in 1955. He worked for West Virginia University at the Physical Plant as a carpenter for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty Smith Adams; sons, Gordon (Donna), Michael (Joyce Thomas), Clinton Jr. and daughter Alyson (Lee) Litton, all of Morgantown; grandchildren, Carla Adams, Scott (Heather) Adams and Christopher (Katherine) Litton; great-grandkids, Camden and Brinley Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Delphia Ann (Galloway) Adams of 56 years; brothers, Edgar, Allen (Ted) and Deane Jr (June); and sisters, Ella Alene Bowers and Mary Louise Reynolds. The family would like to thank the Doctor, Nurses and Clinical Associates at Ruby Memorial Hospital for their love and support during his stay. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, November 27th from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Daniel Strosnider officiating.
