John David Barberic Jr., 72, of Oviedo, FL, formerly of Star City, passed away at his residence following a brief illness on Sunday, November 24, 2024, with his wife by his side.
Dave was born July 11, 1952, in Morgantown, WV, a beloved son to the late John Sr. and Agnes Barberic.
He worked as a project manager for WSP in Orlando, FL.
Along with being a devoted and loving husband, uncle, and brother, he enjoyed antiquing, traveling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Portia Barberic; sister and brother-in-law, Michele and Dennis Sauro; sister, Katherine Frisco; and brother-in-law, Frank Kuhn, all of Morgantown. Dave also had several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Dan; sister-in-law, Barbara Barill; brother-in-law, James Barill; and a loving niece, Amy Haines.
A private graveside service to honor Dave and his beautiful life will be held at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown with Father John McDonough officiating.
