Ann embodied the true definition of a nurse. She was kind, tolerant & selfless, Ann could get her point across with a smile & a gentle voice. I can still see her beautiful smile and the twinkle in her eyes during our time together. She was ready to help anytime, anywhere. She treated Grandma Getz as if she was her blood family. Ann loved her children & family. From the moment I met Ann, she always made me feel loved & welcomed even though I would talk funny at times ;)
Ann,
May God Fill your spirit with all the Peace and Light you deserve. And may He Comfort all those who are missing you and all your beautiful acts of kindness.
May we Honor your memory by striving to be more like you each day. Rest In Peace
Love,
Vivian

Dear Grandma,
I am writing to you to share some of my favorite memories that I had with you and things I wanted to tell you. You are one of the strongest people I have ever known in my entire life, and I am beyond blessed to be your only granddaughter. Granted, you didn’t believe I was going to be a girl until I came out since everyone else was a boy. The thing I will miss the most is probably how you say my name, you are the only person to call me Emily Ann, and I love it.
Some of my core memories from when I was little were of you and the house in Westover. Most of them were around holidays and a couple have been milestones that I have accomplished later in life. I learned how to ride my bike without training wheels down your hill for instance. I practiced playing soccer, dancing, and my poor lack of singing in your backyard. I specifically enjoyed when we would have snow days. Noah and I would build giant snowmen just so we could have you watch Noah tackle them. Your house was always my favorite place to make Christmas cookies and wrap presents. You definitely put too many sprinkles on the cookies. I also loved when I would spend summer days reading on the couch while you slept in your red chair. I chose my profession because I was inspired to help people like you had as a nurse. I accepted athletic training internships and got my first full-time job on the back porch. You were the most selfless person I knew, and I wanted to follow in your steps.
I will see you in my day-to-day life and know that my angel is always with me. The Hallmark movies, gingerbread snaps with coffee, black raspberry soft serve at Dairy Creme Corner, NCIS, Amish Country, smiley waffles, etc. are just some ways I think of you. Thank you for all the rides to soccer and dance practice, picking me up after school with snacks, pushing the buggy at JCPenney’s, trips with Aunt Beth to see biblical plays, and for all of our selfies. Most importantly thank you for letting me take you on all our little date adventures once I was able to drive. It meant the world to me to share a meal and time with you. I hope everyone enjoys our date selfies as much as we had taking them!
Love you a bushel and a peck,
Your doll, Emily Ann <3

My first memory of Aunt Ann was when Uncle Mac told us he met a special girl. The twinkle in his eye said it all! He was in love. They were married and blessed with 3 amazing children. When their path took a devastating turn and Mac passed away unexpectedly, Ann became a pillar of strength. She continued moving forward to raise her family and set a true example of what family means. Within her strength, kindness flowed, and we are blessed to have been a part of her journey.

Mark, Beth and Pam,
I share your sadness when I heard of Aunt Ann's passing. It was my honor to know her and call her family. Ann was one of the most gentle and strong women I've met in life. My wish for the entire family is for you to have all the peace and comfort possible during this difficult time and beyond.
Love and Peace, Jay
