I will never forget sister Norma. I was saved, born again & spirit filled in August 1978 under her ministry. Glory Bound Tabernacle was into a three week Revival and I never missed a night. I had went to church pretty much my whole life but I didn't know there's was more. So much more of a deep closeness & understanding of God's Word. Thank you sister Norma for all of the love, prayers & nurturing you gave me. You not only spoke the word but you lived the word. How many times did I see you pack up groceries from your kitchen and gave to someone in need, or bought groceries from the store and delivered them? How many times did I see you bake a pie, cake, cookies & meals for the sick and needy? You could multitask so well, while cooking and looking at the recipe you would read your Bible and sometimes talk on the phone all at the same time. I went shopping many times with you and old grandma to buy shoes & clothing for the needy. We would also go pray and sing for the sick. You were such a good cook. You could make anything just by adding a little of this and a little of that, no recipe, and it was always delicious. There are not enough words to say of how much you loved Jesus and He loved you. You were constantly praying for friends and loved ones to be saved. We would stay at the church for hours and pray. Some would leave the service but many stayed to pray. Oh, if we could only have these church services back again. Many have compromised the word of God now by allowing deception by the enemy. Satan has deceived them like he tried to do to Jesus in the wilderness. He offers them the things of this world by telling them it's okay, God loves you and He won't send anyone to Hell. What a lie! Please, if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, call on Him now. According to Bible Prophecy, the Rapture can happen anytime and if you miss it, you will be left here to serve the antichrist for seven years. If you take his mark you will never see Heaven. It would be sister Norma's prayer that ALL family and friends be saved. It is also God's will. I want to live my life as sister Norma did. Did I make mistakes? Yes, we all do. Like David, I want to be able to repent and say I'm sorry. I want to continue to run the race and keep the faith like sister Norma did. What an example she set for all of us. I will end by saying, receive your crown sister Norma, you've earned it. Love, Brenda McMillen Dalton Metheny

I will forever remember all the memories I had with Sis Norma! We started going to church at Glorybound Tabernacle back in 1980, where my father-in-law and mother-in-law, Calvin and Betty Plum attended church! Sis Norma married me and David in 1982 and in 1983 we moved into there trailer they owned beside their house! I was very involved in the church there with Sis Norma! All the adventures we had from going to Sis Carters every year, to wall papering, cleaning Church and Uncle Jess” house every year, all the prayer meetings, revivals to playing music, youth rally’s! Some of my best memories were with this special Pastor! She taught me so much about the Lord and set an example before me of how to let the Holy Ghost led me and guide me! She was one of my husband’s favorite people in the whole world to be around! He could not be in her presence without crying! Every time he was around her, he would cry, because of the presence of the Holy Ghost! She would tell everyone about this too! I know my husband was rejoicing and met her at the gate when he knew she was arriving in heaven with him! I’m so thankful God placed this special lady in my life and she introduced me to the real thing, a man called, “Jesus.” She was never afraid or embarrassed to pray for you or praise the Lord wherever she seen you! Jesus was her everything! I will never forget the most awesome revivals at her church! What a time we had in those services! This was where I learned to build my foundation upon the rock! Thank you Sis Norma for always being their for me and my family and teaching us about Jesus and his love! You will always have a special place in my heart! I will forever love and miss you, but we will be together again someday rejoicing in heaven!

As a young kid I spent many hours at her house. I remember taking her a small ceramic Christmas tree every year that she would display. She will be missed by many.
