Robert W. Kendall, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Madison Center. He was born September 5, 1941 in Hundred, WV, a son of the late Lawrence and Louise (Rushford) Kendall.
Bob was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and retired after 33 years of service as a Colonel in the United States Army. He worked as a Highway Engineer for the WV Department of Highways for many years and enjoyed his service to the state. In his free time, he loved travelling and was able to visit 34 different countries. He also coached Big League Youth Baseball in Midwestern for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Ammons Kendall; daughter, Alissa Kendall Russell and her husband Philip; grandchildren, Sarah Russell, Adam Russell, and Ethan Russell; and brother, Gary Kendall and his wife Martha.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. Morgantown on Thursday, March 6th from 5-7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 7th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Martha Ognibene officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover with full military funeral rites being conducted at the graveside.
