Laura Diane Fast-Moats, 58, of Fort Ashby, died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born November 10, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lorraine Thiede Stehmeier. She was employed by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield of Cumberland. She was previously employed by ACS and Domino’s Pizza. She is survived by stepsons David Moats and wife Terry of Falling Waters, WV, and John Moats and wife Nanette of Ft Walton Beach, FL, a brother Reid Stehmeier of Illinois, grandchildren Amanda Shirley, Valerie, Kenneth III, Cassie and Jonathan Moats, and great grandchildren Duncan, Katie and Layla. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as her beloved dog, Brutus T. Stinkerpot. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Moats, Sr. and stepson Kenneth Moats, Jr. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13th, at Mt. Calvary Church of God Family Outreach Center, 12340 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD. Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good News Outreach Mission, PO Box 112, Meadow Bridge, WV 25976 or donate blood in memory of her many years of giving.
