Joann Lane Musgrave, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born October 23, 1955 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Marshall Claude and Evelyn Cathleen (Springston) Shafer. Joann is a Methodist by faith and a 1974 graduate of Morgantown High School. She was employed at Mon Health Medical Center and in her free time enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Amy Dawn Just (Dean) and Ben Musgrave (fiancé Trudy Spurrier); grandchildren, Olivia and Chloe Just and Brent, Jackson, Benjamin, and David Musgrave; siblings, Rebecca Lawson, Deloris Kinsley (John), Sharon Kinsley (James), Linda Broyles, Lois Schiffbauer, George Shafer, Darlene Hylton (Frank), and David Shafer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Connie Reese and Michael Shafer. Cremation arrangements will be provided. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Sunday, December 17th from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 PM with Pastor Dewey Broyles officiating.
