Rose Ellen Oldaker, 85, formerly of Morgantown, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at Charleston Area Medical Center.She was born on March 2, 1927 in Marlinton, WV.She was the daughter of the late Bernard Wesley Gorrell and Myrtle Vashti Buzzard Gorrell.Rose Ellen graduated from Reynolds Memorial Hospital Nursing School in 1948 and worked as a registered nurse at Vincent Pallotti Hospital and Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.She was a long time member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church, and enjoyed camping, baking and making ceramics.She is survived by one daughter, Linda Carole Miller and her husband Jeffrey of Charleston, WV one son, Mark Edward Oldaker of Pleasanton, CA and his wife, Joanna Lynn one sister, Eva Jean Nestor of Chicago, IL and two granddaughters, Sandra Lynn Oldaker and Cheryl Lynn Kozachenko and her husband Nicholas.She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest Carroll Oldaker and one sister Ursula Long.She was lovingly supported by special friends Shirley Stone and Debbie Morton nieces and nephews and their families and Janet Swigger and the Miller families. Visitation will be at Hastings Funeral Home 153 Spruce St. Morgantown, on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1p.m. with Dr. John Allen of Spruce Street United Methodist Church officiating.Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.Send condolences online at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com.
