Delphia Ann Galloway Adams, 74, of 30 Harvest Dr., Morgantown, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at her residence.Delphia was born in Morgantown on March 1, 1938, a daughter of the late Carlus Galloway and the late Frances (Pancoast) Galloway.She is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, Clinton Lee Adams Sr. four children and their families, Gordon Adams, his wife Donna and their children Carla Adams and fianceâ Mike Shrewsbury, and Scott and Heather Adams Mike Adams, his fianceâ Joyce Thomas and children Cindy Adams and Jonathon Roarke Clinton Lee Adams, Jr., his wife Kay, his daughter Michelle Jackson and grandchild Hailey Jackson and Alyson Litton, her husband Lee and their son, Christopher Litton a sister, Carol Galloway Hungate and her husband Ron a brother, Fred Galloway and his wife Carolyn and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles, Hollis and Russell Brooks, and Delphia and Harry Dean and a special cousin whom she cared for many years, Alberta Galloway..Delphia was a member of the Cheat Lake United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women and served as the churchâs treasurer for many years. Additionally, she was a member of the Mount Union CEOS, the Red Hat Society and the Canyon Senior Citizens and served as their treasurer. She was named as a Monongalia County Belle in 2008 and Mother of the Year at the Monongalia County Fair. In her spare time, she also enjoyed playing Bingo and taking bus trips.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, Sept. 26th from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. On Thursday, Sept. 27th, Mrs. Adams will be taken to the Cheat Lake United Methodist Church where she will lay in repose from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Michael Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery, Cheat Lake, followed by a dinner for family and friends at Cheat Lake United Methodist Church.Send condolences online at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com",336796
