Marie and I would like thank everyone for attending our mother''s service. We really appreciate your kind words, love and support. Thanks to all for the cards and flowers. Also, we would like to send a special thanks to the ladies for the dinner at Brookhaven Center. And finally, thanks so much to Hastings Funeral Home and Pastor Matt for the wonderful service. My Aunt Weezie was one of the funniest ladies I've ever known. She could make you laugh in a matter of moments. Her smile could light up a room. She lived life to its fullest. I will always remember how my dad would pick on her and she would give it right back. She loved her family and we loved her. She will be forever loved and always missed. I was on the road this past week when I heard the news about Aunt Louise - from my sister, Sue. Immediately I began to recall the past, the many crazy times & stories of Aunt Louise, Marie & Joey. When the family got together...with her brothers & sisters, kids & neighbors all had a great time! A wonderful life is measured by wonderful stories & memories - God bless you Aunt Louise.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Powell Family. I always admired Aunt Weez's zest for life and will never forget her sense of humor during her visits to my parents home when I was young. Ive worked with Marie for many years, and one Halloween we were working, The neighbor called and said that she needed to come home asap because Weezie was giving away pots and pans, and the toaster to trick or treaters. Sadly, I only knew Weezy for a short time but I''m getting to know her more and more each day through the stories and anecdotes that her loved ones graciously share with me. I do know that she was an incredibly strong and special woman who meant a lot to many. Weezy was the love of my life. Now that she has passed it feels as if I have a hole in my heart that will never heal. I''m thankful that her suffering has come to an end. My best memory of Weesie is when we took the bus to down town Morgantown. We went to the Five and Dime and she let me pick out a few hair clips for my hair. We went to lunch and just made chit chat. When we got back home she gave me a gold necklace. She said it would look better on me. I still have that necklace in my jewerly box. I love you weez. I can't thank the nursing staff that cared for Weesie enough. She went to a beautiful place with such great peace and dignity. Lots of love. to all the family I know and love. Lots of love to the ones I don't know.
