I did not know Mr. Burrell, but work with Doren who is counsel for the Board of Veterinary Medicine. I am so sorry for your bereavement. In reading the obituary of Mr. Burrell I can tell he was very active and passionate about his many interests. To celebrate someone so intensely involved in life is a true blessing to those still here and a tribute to his memory.

I was saddened to learn that mother nature and the world of science lost one of its most ardent and knowledgeable admirers and supporters. Bob was a treasured resource for the WV Mushroom Club and we loved learning from the many articles he so generously contributed - always ahead of deadline! He gave me inspiration and encouragement when I became a Food Panelist for the Dominion Post, as he had been several years earlier. I thoroughly enjoyed the articles he sent me when he learned I was chosen for the panel. He was one of a kind, with a wit and intelligence that doesn't come along often, and he will be missed by me and by many others he inspired and nurtured over the years.

Dear. Doren, Laura, and the family,I am so very sorry to hear of Bobs passing. We had all sort of expected to see him this coming weekend and had no idea he was ill. I'm sorry for being so out of touch that I didn't know. Bob was an amazingly accomplished guy. I wish I could have spent more time with him. 222It is a sad day today as I read of Bobs passing. I was his neighbor on western Ave. I lent him half of my garden to use. We spent many a day talking about are garden, dogs and family. He was very helpful to me in sharing some gardening tips. We so enjoyed are dogs. I also enjoyed talking with your mom about canning and tasting their great pickles. I was reading of you dads great achevements, all of you should be so proud. We live in Orlando so my brother who still lives in morgantown called me to tell me of your fathers passing. He ran into your dad at the hospital where he was volunteering and they caught up on things. I know how hard it is to loose a parent to cancer. Peace be with you and all of Bob's family!
