John Warren Sickles, 55, of Beulah Road, Morgantown, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his residence.John was born in Morgantown on September 19, 1956, the son of James Sickles and the late Edith Pysell Sickles.He was a former coal miner working at Pursglove 15 and Blacksville #2. He was a member of UMWA District 31. John was an avid hunter and enjoyed antique cars. He was a great family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandson Chadwick. He is survived by his father, James Sickles, a son, Tyler Jason Sickles and wife, Shawna, a grandson, Chadwick James Sickles, a brother, James Michael Sickles and wife Gloria, a nephew Bryan Sickles and two great-nieces, Hannah and Avery Sickles and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Faye McClain. In addition to his mother, Edith Sickles, he is preceded in death by his wife Teresa Wanda Ann Sickles and a nephew Chad Sickles. Friends will be received at Nicholson Chapel Church on Sunday, July 1, from 4-8pm and again on Monday, July 2, from 9-10am. A funeral service will be held in the church at 10am with Rev. Kenny Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
