Suzanne J. Lewis, 81, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 4:07 AM.She was born in Clifton Forge, VA on May 3, 1931, a daughter of the late Frank Karl and Mary Lillian Pharr Johnston.Suzanne moved to Bluffton, SC in 2007 to be closer to her nieces. Suzanne was a member of the Spruce St. United Methodist Church. She was an avid bowler and was on several bowling leagues for many years. She was a devout WVU fan and loved to watch her âher boysâ. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her nieces, Carol Johnston Beckelhimer and husband Dean, and Dotty Jo Johnston Webb and husband Mike, and their families of Bluffton, SC her brother Wilford Pharr Johnston and wife Barbara of Roanoke, VA and nephews, Frank Karl Johnston, and Scott Johnston and wife Michelle and their family.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Leon Lewis and her brother and sister-in-law, John Joseph and Dotty Johnston.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with Rev. Dr. John E. Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery.
