I can't even count the number of days I spent at the Gais household growing up, hanging out with Steve, playing games in the basement. It was a staple of my childhood, and Marge was always so nice and welcoming. She was a wonderful woman, and I'll always remember her fondly.

I send my deepest sympothy to you and your family for your loss. Marge was such an inspiration to alot of people especially myself. She reminded me so much of my mother that I lost at the age of 16 of breast cancer. Marge always had a smile on her face every time I saw her even when she wasn''t feeling well. She had the most beautiful eyes that lit up any room she entered. I''ve always asked about her and how she was doing since I moved out of state. She fought a long hard battle with determination like no other. Marge has touched the lives of many and she will never be forgotten. I send the prayer of strenght and healing to the family. God Bless you at this time of need. Sincerly Kelly Colvard Skaggs

I'm sorry I'm posting twice. I didn't know what to say the first time so I thought, better to say nothing. After reading all the other kind words I felt I had at least try. Marge was incredibly enthusiastic about welcoming me whenever I came to visit Steve. I never got to know her very well but she raised a wonderful son and I'm happy to have known him.

Marge,I am so blessed to have known you. You touched my life and I'm so thankful for you. You are absolutely amazing! Your strenth, beauty, and grace will never be forgotten. I have such fond memories of you. The best is how available you always made yourself for me. You walked me through some really difficult and confusing times, most recently helping me pull it together when I found out my mom was ill. Words cannot explain what a gift you are and have been to all that knew you. Rest in peace and I pray for all who knew you. May you all have strength and peace to get through this time.

Nothing can cure the sorrow we feel from losing a loved one. Words are a weak attempt at comfort. Let the memories eventually help you find peace. It was a privilege to know such a strong and vital person. "He who akeeps you will not slumber"

From our College days on, Marge was such a fun and vibrant woman, and the challenges and hardships that life dealt never dimmed her smile nor conquered her spirit. She always gave more than she received and will be sorely missed. I am so thankful that her new Grandson made his early entrance to this life so that she could experience the joy that his birth meant for her. Love and sympathy to Rich, Steven and all her family.

Mrs. Gais, along with my mother, was the chief reason I love dressmaking and sewing so much and have continued my work into my adult life. I'm sure my girls will benefit from all the knowledge she shared with me over the years. Although I have not walked across the yard in many years, I still feel her loss. Blessings to Dr. Gais, Stevie, and the new grandbaby.-Carie

Without even knowing it, she has taught me so much about how to face challenges in life and has helped me become a better person. I loved having lunch with her and getting her opinions on my latest creations. She brightened our day every time she came in the office. My prayers go out to Dr.Gais and his family. To my best friend all through high school, what good times we had. I will always remember the slumber parties, talking until all hours in the morning about boys, hair, clothes but mostly boys. Unfortnately, when you moved from NJ to WV we weren't able to see each other as much as I would have liked but you were a best friend for life. I will miss your visits but I now know you are in a better place. Rest in peace my friend. I Love you.

God speed, our dear friend, Marge Gais, to your final resting place. With our families in far away places, Marge was our surrogate mother, "really cool" big sister, and grandmother. We love her so dearly, and always will. She calmed our nerves as we planned for our wedding, and helped us welcome our two wonderful sons into the world. Marge was the first one to change Aiden''s diaper. She helped us decorate our home, shared some great recipies, and was always available to offer some good parenting advice. There were so many times that she helped us with her deeds, loving care and kind words.Marge was a living example of what is best in a friend with grace, beauty, strength and style. She will always be with us in our hearts and actions as we try to live by the example she set.We love you, Marge Gais. Our hearts are heavy with grief but our comfort comes in knowing that we will continue to see you and be with you every time we interact with one of the many who have known you, and upon whom you have left similar marks.

Marge was the bravest woman I have ever known. Life did not deal her an easy hand but she rose above that with strength, courage, and determination. I never once saw her out of humor or feeling sorry for herself. She always had a smile and a way of making you feel better about yourself. I looked forward to her visits to the office because she always had an interesting story to tell or advice to offer. I know that she is at peace now and has had a glorious reunion with Chris in the arms of Our Heavenly Father. May her graciousness and strength be with her family and friends in these difficult days.
