Marjorie Susan Kinney Starcher, 66, of, Bruceton Mills, formerly of Cheat Lake, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012, at her residence.Marjorie was born in Morgantown, on September 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Marvin and Bertha Calvert Kinney. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She attended WVU in her early years and worked as a secretary while her husband was in medical school. She was a loving mother, grandmother, a good wife and a dear friend to all who knew her. Her greatest enjoyment came from taking care of her children, grandchildren and her dog Molly. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dr. Sam G. Starcher, a son, Bryan V. Starcher of Bonita Springs, FL, a daughter, Tracy Lynn Starcher Thomas and husband Richard of Bruceton Mills, her grandchildren, Emily, Samantha and Decklan Thomas, her sisters, Diane Scherich and husband Todd of SC, and Verda Lee McLaughlin of MA.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Avery Thomas and a brother, Don Kinney. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7. A graveside service will be held at 10:30a.m. at the Shady Grove Cemetery on Rt. 26 in Bruceton Mills on Thursday, March 8. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery no later than 10:25a.m.
