Obituary of Jennifer Watson

Jennifer Kaye Smith Watson, 37, of Carroll Sawmill Road, Morgantown, received her healing and joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven on Monday, January 30, 2012 from her residence.Jennifer was born in Morgantown on October 3, 1974, the daughter of Jeanne (Friend) Smith and the late Steve Smith.In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 17 years, Sean Patrick Watson four children, Madelynn, Drew, Samuel and Sadie Watson four siblings, Kathy Smith Bissett and her husband Jerry of Morgantown, Troy Smith and his wife Tiffany of West Palm Beach, FL, Susan Smith Woods and her husband Mike, and Michael Smith all of Morgantown and her maternal grandmother, Ruth Friend of Morgantown. A lifelong resident of Morgantown, Jennifer was a 1992 graduate of Morgantown High School , and a 1996 graduate of Asbury University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She taught at both Covenant Christian School and Ridgedale Elementary School. Her greatest joy as a teacher was giving children the gift of reading and showing them the joy it could bring to their lives. She was an active member of Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend who loved spending time with her children, attending their activities, and taking care of other children as well.Family and friends will be received at Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, 802 Greenbag Rd., Morgantown on Friday, February 3 from 3-5 & 7-9pm and again on Saturday, February 4 from 12 Noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Jamey Gremillion officiating.
