Barbara Theresa Lipovich, 76, of Listravia Ave., Morgantown, passed away late Saturday evening, January 7, 2012 at Golden Living Center of Morgantown, WV.Barbara was born in Morgantown on February 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Anthony Lipovich and the late Ethel (Vargo) Lipovich.Survivors include one sister, Veronica Basferd and her husband, George of Pampa, TX one niece, Lynn Robertson of Amarillo, TX three grand-nephews, Joshua, Matthew and Adam Robertson of Amarillo, TX and one great-grandniece, Rian Robertson of Amarillo, TX. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Steve Lipovich and one sister, Margaret Lipovich.Barbara was a homemaker, who was a graduate of the former St. Francis High School. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Thursday, January 12 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Very Rev. Mark G. Ward CP, VF officiating. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.At the request of the deceased, the casket will remain closed during visitation.Send condolences online at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com
