Obituary of Luigi Audia SR

Luigi John Edgar Audia, Sr., 74, of Monongalia Ave., Morgantown, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Morgantown on November 8, 1937, a son of the late Samuel Frederick Audia and the late Rose (Marasco) Audia.Luigi was well known as the Manager / Bartender of the Morgantown VFW Post 548 where he worked for many years. He enjoyed watching National Geographic and attended the Morgantown First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Joann Golden Audia and four children, Luigi J.E. Audia, Jr. of Morgantown, Thomas K. Audia of Waynesburg, PA, and Claudia R. Audia and Robert J. Audia both of Morgantown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Wednesday, November 30 from 4 PM until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Lynn Keener officiating. Following the funeral service, Mr. Audiaâs family will honor his wishes for cremation, and inurnment will be held at a later date in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
