Obituary of Anna Piper

Anna Louise Piper, 87, of Jersey Ave., Morgantown, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.She was born in Harlan, KY on February 1, 1924, a daughter of the late William Adkins and the late Della (Lloyd) Adkins.Survivors include her husband of more than 60 years, Arthur Forman Piper, whom she married in Oakland, MD in 1950 and one son, Michael Forman Piper, his wife, Julie and their son whom she adored, Anthony all of Cincinnati, OH.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Piper was preceded in death by three siblings, Mildred Rickett, and Howard and Lewis Adkins.Mrs. Piper was a member of the Sabra United Methodist Church. She retired as a machine operator with 41 years of service from the former Sterling Faucet Company, and was a dedicated, 16 year volunteer at Christian Help of Morgantown â" a job that she thoroughly enjoyed.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Thursday, December 1st from 12-2 and 5-7 PM and again on Friday, December 2nd from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Charles May officiating. Entombment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
