Carroll Adam "Bud" Long, 69, Morgantown, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011, surrounded by his family and friends at Monongalia General Hospital.Bud was born in Deep Creek Lake, MD on March 4, 1942, the son of Clarence Long and Bernadine Edgar Long.Bud is survived by his wife of 47 years Jeannie Long, one son Timothy Long of Morgantown, WV two grandchildren Derek Michael Long and Caleb Adam Long both of Morgantown, WV one sister Wilma Brown of Ravenswood, WV, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful companion âRoseyâ his dog.Bud was a graduate of Northern High School in Accident, MD in 1960, where he played football and basketball. He also graduated from WVU in 1969. He worked in the mobile home business upon his return to Morgantown, WV. Bud is also the owner of Tranquility Mobile Home Park here in Morgantown. He was also employed in the maintenance department for WVU Athletics where he retired. He was an avid WVU sports fan. Bud loved to hunt and spend time in the outdoors, go on car cruises with the former Dream Machines car club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin sister Carolyn Martin of MD, and an infant brother Harold.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Sunday, November 6, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, November 7, 2011, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11am in the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Badgery and the nurses of the third floor at Monongalia General Hospital for their special care and compassion.Entombment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
