Wanda May McCartney, 57, of Wilmerding Street, Morgantown, went to be with the Lord, October 24, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Wanda was born in Springfield, WV on December 13, 1953, a daughter of Jerlene Bazzle Combs of Fort Ashby, WV. Wanda was a long time member of the Mt. View Free Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her mother Jerlene, she is survived by her husband, James âJimâ Everett McCartney, sons, Joe McCartney and wife Rachel of Morgantown, James E. McCartney II of Morgantown, a daughter, Jodie McMillen and husband Steven also of Morgantown grandchildren, Jocelyn Rose, Patience Elizabeth and Asher Thomas McCartney, a brother, Craig Combs and wife Lucy of Fort Ashby, WV, two sisters, Donna See and husband Larry of Romney, WV and Janice Osburn and husband Mark of Leesburg, VA as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 7-9pm on Tuesday, October 25, from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Wednesday, October 26, and from 9:30-10:30am on Thursday, October 27. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:30am on Thursday, with Rev. Francis Craker officiating.
