Darrell L. Clark, 89, formerly of Morgantown, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center. Born December 5, 1921, in Morgantown, WV, he was the son of the late Stella and William Gidley. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bette and his brother, Milford Clark. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Hoffman of Bunker Hill and Karen Kalivoda and husband Robert of Stevensville, MD one son, Barry Clark and wife Joyce of Manlius, NY nine grandchildren, Kathy Weidman, Bette Jo King, Jeff Cowell, Kristen Conkel, Susan Oliveri, Natalie Seiling, Derek Clark, Lynn Bollesen, and Tom Smith 22 great grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Darrell graduated from Morgantown High School. He worked at the Dupont/Olin Matheson chemical plant in Morgantown, West Virginia University, West Virginia Wesleyan College and retired from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. Friends will be received at the Chapel of Tranquility Mausoleum of Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover on Monday, Oct. 10th from 11 AM until the time of the funeral and committal service at 12 Noon with Reverend Michael Q.
