Darwin âRayâ Plum, 77, of Port St. Lucie, FL formerly of Morgantown passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011, at St. Lucie Medical Center. .Ray was born in Bruceton Mills on April 16, 1934, the son of the late Charles and Pauline Speilman Plum.He was a barber for 43 years he owned Malcolms Barber Shop and Ray's Barber Shop in Morgantown and worked at Charlies Barber Shop in Florida. He enjoyed coon hunting in his younger years with his friend, Jack Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Bosley Plum, his children Allen Plum, Diana Swan, Debbie Landacre, John Plum all of Ohio, Charles âJoeâ Plum, Lloyd Samuel Plum of FL, Thomas Daniel Keller of VA, and Cheryl Dawn Shaheed of Morgantown, a brother, Neil Wheeler, and two sisters, Evelyn Savage and Lois Boggs. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alicia Shaheed and two brothers, Warren Wheeler and Harold Plum. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 6-9pm on Friday, August 12. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 13, from 10-11am at Nicholson Chapel Church. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11am with Rev. Norma Stimmell officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
