Obituary of Patricia Hatfield

Patricia Hatfield, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehab. Patricia was born in Highland Park, MI on October 23, 1926, the daughter of the late John and Goldie Husted Sharkofsky.She retired from Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI where she was the Head of Nurse Continuing Education she had also worked at Michigan Dept. of Health in Lansing at the Chief of Public Health Nursing. She was in the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honorary, Michigan League for Nursing, Michigan Public Health Association, American Nurses Association as well as volunteered for American Red Cross, Brookgreen Gardens, Chamber of Commerce Friends of the Library all in Myrtle Beach, SC along with Ingham Medical Center and Hospice of Lansing. She is survived by her children, Judith Hurst of Morgantown, and Susan Hatfield of Seattle, WA, her sister, Betty Rankin of Novi, MI and her granddaughter Amy Mick and great-grandchildren, Jade and Tyler Mick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hatfield on February 27, 2010. To honor Patriciaâs wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services.
