Obituary of Sherman Pendley

Sherman Lloyd Pendley, 42, of Bluegrass Village, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Sherman was born in Morgantown on September 6, 1968, the son of Mary Elizabeth Jackson Pendley and the late Clarence Lee & Mary Elizabeth Jackson Pendley. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School.He served in the U.S. Air Force during Desert Storm. He was employed as a computer programmer for Experian. In addition to his mother Mary, he is survived by two sisters Vickie Nickels of Ash, NC and Linda Evonomo of Bronson, FL, two aunts, Mae Burgess of Morgantown and Anna Lambert of Bruceton Mills, as well as nieces, nephews and several cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Alice Jackson, his paternal grandparents, Sherman and Nina Pendley and a brother, Charles Pendley. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 3pm until the time of the funeral service at 6pm Wednesday, July 13th , with Rev. John Miker officiating. Following the service, Mr. Pendley's wishes for cremation will be honored and inurnment will be held at a later date in the Centenary Cemetery near Bruceton Mills. The family request flowers please be omitted.
