Nettie L. Cassidy, 89, of Woodbridge, VA and formerly of Cassville passed away Friday, July 1, 2011.She was born August 9, 1921 in Harman, WV a daughter of the late Okey L. and Gertie Jane Allen Smith.She was employed with the West Virginia University in food services for over 20 years.Nettie was one of the first members of the Faith Baptist Church.She is survived by one daughter and spouse, Carol McMillen and Raymond of Woodbridge, VA two sisters, Louvene Burns of Keyser, WV and Geraldine Wilking of NJ one brother, Boyd Smith of Beverly WV four grandchildren Bryan McMillen, Deborah McMillen Chewing, Donald Wayne McMillen and Annette McMillen Harfield, all of Virginia six great grandchildren, one step great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded indeath by her husband, Ira R. Cassidy, three brothers and four sisters.Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Wednesday, July 6 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 7 from 9-10a.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:00a.m with Pastor Bennie Moran officiating. Burial will be held at the Eglon Cemetery in Eglon, WV.
