Patricia âPattyâ Foy May, 47, of Morgantown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.She was born on August 23, 1963, in Morgantown, a daughter of Joan Foy and the late Lawrence Foy. She was a Morgantown High School graduate, class of 1981. She earned a Bachelor of Science of Business Administration from West Virginia University and was a Certified Public Accountant. Patty was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. For the past twelve years she was a stay at home mother which she loved. She took great pleasure in caring for her family she also enjoyed gardening, animals and family vacations at the beach. She is survived by her mother Joan Foy of Morgantown her beloved husband John May of Morgantown two daughters at home, Shelby and Hannah May a son, Daniel Thomas II two grandchildren, Aiden and Aleah Thomas, all of Morgantown stepdaughter, Erin May of PA two stepsons, Matthew May, of Morgantown, and Tyler May, of PA two brothers, David Foy and wife, Lori, and Carl Foy of Morgantown two sisters, Sandra Johnson and husband Rick of Morgantown, and Mary Yott and husband Murray, of NY several nieces and nephews: Lorinda Ashley, Janelle Squires and husband Gary, David Foy, Kyle Miller, Mike Woods and wife Susan, Joey Woods, Cathy Henderson and husband Josh, Monica Paschedag and husband Lance, Micah Yott and Marcus Yott several great nieces and nephews: Kayla and Ryan Ashley, Carson and Gavin Squires, Katie, Olivia and Owen-Nehemiah Woods, Austin and Bella Woods, Nate and Lilly Henderson, Anthony Betz and Logan Paschedag.A celebration of Pattyâs life will be held at Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, on the Green Bag Rd. in Morgantown, on Saturday June 25th where family and friends will be received at 10am until the time of service at 11am with Pastor Jamey Gremillion officiating. Patty was strong and courageous and put her trust in the Lord. She is now completely healed and in the presence of the Lord. She left this as her legacy to her family. She will be sadly missed by all⦠until we meet again. Cremation services were provided by Hastings Funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pattyâs honor to Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church,PO Box 342, Morgantown, WV 265087.
