Karen and Susan,I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a wonderful man. They announced his passing in church on Sunday morning and I immediately thought about your Mom and Dad's 25th Wedding Anniversary Party on DeMain Ave. and the fun had by all who attended. I then started pondering how many wonderful years your parents shared with one another and remembered that their anniversary was during the summer time. When I turned the church bulletin over and in the congratulations section there was the date of their anniversary June 12. When I think of your Dad, the first thing that comes to mind is that "million dollar" smile of his which both of you certainly inherited. Then I think of his gentle and pleasant personality. From my own experience, I know losing one's Dad leaves a big hole in one's heart and life. As for me I feel that my Dad is still with me at all times because of the the many life lessons he taught me and the many positive examples he set for me. I still feel enfolded in his arms every day of my life. It is my hope and my prayer that both of you will have the same experience and find comfort in all that "Don Don" shared with each of you through the years.With Deepest Sympathy and Love,Dixie

Oh, the things I could write about Don's friendship with my dad, Preston Harper. Too numerous, but all hysterical sheninagans perpetrated by them as a team. Don was like an uncle to me. Not only did we live near one another at South Hills, but our families spent time together in one way or another. My parents had many great memories of vacations that they took with Don and Gwen. Oue hearts go out to Gwen, Susan and Karen from Prescott, Arizona.
