Obituary of Mildred Arnold

Mildred Jean Arnold, 90, of Rock Forge Lane, Morgantown, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Monongalia General Hospital. Mildred was born in Preston County on June 17, 1920, a daughter of the late Ralph Waldo Emerson and the late Leona Rebecca (Teets) Emerson. Survivors include her son, Henry Wilbert Arnold, Jr. and his wife, Norene her grandchildren Barry Arnold, Scott Arnold, Jeffrey Arnold Great Grandchildren, Zach, Courtney, Devon, Megan, Andrew, Karah, Charlie Kate Arnold, Victoria Dalton and, Emily Morris, Great Great Grandson Brian Cummings,and her siblings, Irvin Emerson and his wife Virginia, Luella Johnson, Goldie Rosati, Eva Lou Metz, George Emerson and his wife, Maxine, and Sue Hawk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wilbert Arnold four brothers, Harold, John, Herb, and Eddie Emerson and a grandson, Jamie Arnold. Mrs. Arnoldâs family has honored her wishes for cremation. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Saturday, March 12 from 12 Noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 PM with Rev. James Mohrman officiating. Inurnment will take place next to her husband in the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
