As I read what other friends, relatives and quests have said about Jeff, it is clear that we all have certainly lost a man among men. We first met Jeff and Judy several years ago while visiting our daughter who lived a few miles away from their shop. We had pulled a work trailer from our home in Georgia to Morgantown and while enroute one of its four tires blew out. After replacing it with a spare we continued on to Morgantown. The next day I asked my daughter where I could get trailer tires and she said "there''s a little tire store right down the street called "Sankbeil Tire." The two of us, along with my son, went there and met a young woman who was very compassionate, helpful and a delight to talk with. Her name was Judy Sankbeil. On the counter of their business stood a framed picture of a very beautiful young lady dressed in an Indian outfit that peaked my son''s interest. Without hesitation he asked Mrs. Sankbeil the name of the girl in the picture. My daughter and I were shell shocked, mortified. But, Mrs. Sankbeil proudly said, "thats my daughter Julie." That began our lasting friendship with this wonderful family. As we moved about the store a giant of a man came in and introduced himself to us. I immediately took a likeing to him. I could tell what kind of person he was, what I believe he stood for and that he was a proud family man. That chance incident led us back to them several times when we were up visiting and each time we enjoyed seeing them, having dinner with them and being with them. Jeff took me and my son (Matt) into the woods once while I was up there to shoot targets. We had a ball. He and Matt became close friends and have remained so. We too will miss him so much. It was our honor and our priviledge to have known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

The smell of vanilla air freshner in a clean Ford pick up, playing in Decker's Creek in a blue Bronco, going on service calls to who knows where and getting a coke with peanuts in it, crawling all over him while he sat on the floor up against the couch watching the races, going on a "date" with Aunt Judy before she was Aunt Judy, holding Julie for the first time in the rocking chair in Poppy and Bunny Ma'am's livingroom while he watched with the pride of a new daddy, or turning his trophy room into Jordan's nursery because another beautiful girl was born. Uncle Jeff your body might be gone but the memories I will cherish forever. I love you and miss you already. Aunt Judy thank you for taking care of him, you did a great job in loving him, helping to raise his awesome girls, working beside him everyday and making his life complete. Julie and Jordan, I am sure that your dad was amazing if he was anything like he was to us girls when we were growing up. I am terribly sorry for your lose and I know that is so empty to say and doesn't make it any better. I hope that memories will bring a smile to your face once in a while. I love you!

Judy, Julie, and Jordan:We are so sorry for your loss. Jeff was one in a million. Or probably a trillion. He was a great husband and father. Vance will miss his friend. Ethan & Megan will miss waving at "Uncle Jeff", mowing out in the yard. Katelyn feels so sad for her cousins. And I wish there was something I could do to help my special cousin through this:( We love you all. We loved Jeff and he will be missed.

Uncle Jeff- If asked to describe you in one word, it would be "gentle". A gentle giant with a huge heart. It was rare for you to raise your voice, and you were as kind hearted with strangers as you were with long time friends. I will miss your kindness, your abiltity to be positive, even in the stormiest of weather, and your love for your family. I know you passed in comfort knowing "Jude" did everything in her power to save you and to change the circumstances. Love like the two of you share is rare, but one to look up to and admire. Not too many people can work with their spouse full time and maintain a positive marriage as you two have. Rest in peace knowing you did an excellent job in raising Julie and Jordan. They are a true reflection of your kindness, gentle spirit, and determination. Know that you have set a high standard and have been a role model in what every woman should look for in a man. We know your spirit will be present when Jordan walks across that stage this year to accept her High School diploma, we know you will be there at both of their college graduations, we know your spirit will walk them down the aisle as they marry, and be present as your grandchildren will be born. We know you wouldn't miss that for the world. I love you with all of my heart. I am blessed that you were apart of my life, you are a true gift from God. Love Always, Lana
