Deepest condolences to the family. As Jack's neighbor growing up, I was able to watch firsthand what a great man Jack was. In 1974, in the middle of the first gas crisis, I had a date for high school prom, but no gas or car in which to make the date - Jack stepped in and lent me his car with a wink and a smile. As I was in college, Jack always made sure I had a job to earn spending money. As I left Morgantown to start my career, Jack made sure I had plenty of household items with which to furnish my apartment. And my late father, Bud Parsons, had no better friend than Jack as they passed the time talking across Killarney Dr. So while I am saddened by his loss, I am grateful to have experienced first hand the measure of his life, and only hope that I can have an impact on someone else much like Jack did for me. A great man whose life was well-lived.Jim ParsonsLexington, KY
