Obituary of Bettie Cecchinelli

Bettie R. Cecchinelli, 87, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Bettie was born in Elkins on April 17, 1923, the daughter of the late Walter and Isis Sue (England) Morris.She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.Bettie loved to cook and entertain and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Ferris Cecchinelli, her son, Gary Cecchinelli, her grandchildren, Gary âJRâ Cecchinelli, Jr., and Savannah Cecchinelli all of Morgantown and a nephew, William Penn III of Atlanta, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Cecchinelli in 1969 and a sister, Virginia Morris Penn. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, June 18, from 3-5 & 7-9PM and from 9-10AM on Saturday, June 19. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday morning in the funeral home with Reverend Michael Atkinson officiating.
